Poverty is a grievous condition that burdens a huge number of
individuals around the world. Much battle to acquire essential necessities and
to accommodate themselves and their families, longing for a prosperous life
liberated from the unremitting interruptions and tensions of a devastated
method for living.
Fortunately, rates of extreme poverty are falling around
the world, and drastically so, thanks to the advent of government
reforms/market liberalization. As consoling as it very well may be to
stay principled of the critical advancement happening in our reality, however,
millions still remain under the poverty line; economic progress, while ongoing,
is not inevitable, and still requires committed activities as a society to
ensure the welfare of all people. However, there are numerous ways which you
contribute towards the cause of further removing poverty.
There are many ways to help
out in your community through direct action. Inquire your local religious organization
or non-profit organization or check out needy people at your local areas and full
fill their needs.
Helping one individual can
make a small change for the better. If you see someone who needs help, talk to
them. Give them some money, even a few rupees can help.
Donations to your local organizations
are incredibly important. Many of these organizations rely on donations to
survive and serve their communities. Make sure you know where your money is
going if you're donating money. You want to be sure that the organization is
actually helping people.
Collect similarly invested people and pick
something to do with poverty to work to ease. Startup a gathering to help
instruct network individuals on poverty, or make an after-school program for
low-pay kids.
Opening up conversation in your local
network, can help move in the direction of reducing poverty. Challenge your friends and
family's assumptions about poverty.
There
are many other different groups that you can work with: children, the senior
citizens, the mentally ill, the homeless, and women. You'll need to decide
which group you want to focus on.

You could start up a local community garden
and teach courses on how to grow sustainable food. A large number of people who
are poor cannot afford to buy much produce, so teaching them a sustainable and
cheap way to grow their own food, could help alleviate some of that vitamin deficiency.

You can work in shelters, soup
kitchens, community centers, at after-school programs, and employment centers.
